Prior to Letting
Before putting your property on the market to let, it is wise to make
sure that is is clean, tidy and re-decorated (if necessary) in order to
ensure that the property presents well during viewings and to encourage
your tenants to return the property to you in the same condition when
they move out. You must also ensure that all manuals/instructions for
any gas or electrical appliances are left in the property. Finally, you
will need to obtain permission to let from your mortgagor, buildings
insurer and freeholder (if any).
